Diets Don't Work
Are we fat because we eat too much? We have been told that it is a
simple equation, calories in minus energy expended equals weight loss or
weight gain. Most of us have tried many diets without much success. A
recent research study showed that the average diet resulted in a 10 to 6
pound loss. There has to be a better way! Hypnotherapy will support your
efforts to become the best version of you. The subconscious mind can be
your ally in creating a healthier, energetic, flexible, more slender
version of you.
In
particular, mature women who have passed thru menopause begin to feel
that their body has become the enemy. Many who never had a weight
problem before are now packing on pounds. And to make matters worse,
whatever they try for weight loss doesn't seem to work. Personally
I believe that we need to love our body as it is and then work in
partnership with our body to create a healthier, more flexible, leaner,
and more energetic body. We have to make peace first! As we age
our body changes and we grow more beautiful in wisdom, experience,
patience, and love. As we embrace this beauty we can also allow our body
to become its best at whatever age we are. But I also believe that we
have an ideal weight that may vary from the sizes and shapes we are
bombarded with in advertising, tv and movies.
Most of the time I see that people try everything but they don't put
together a comprehensive plan. Successful weight loss includes:
nutrition, exercise, stress management and adequate sleeo. Before our
first session, I recommend that you select a rational food strategy,
decide how you will add more movement into your day and enlist
allies among family, friends and coworkers. Hypnosis can help you
reinforce your healthy transition. But it can also help you improve
sleep and manage stress. Those are the hidden factors that tend to
sabotage most weight loss efforts.
Sleep is really important. More and more research is showing that
inadequate sleep will cause weight gain, other research is showing the
connection between stress and many chronic conditions - including weight
gain.
I offer a 3-session package for weight loss. The first session takes
about an hour and a half, the following sessions are around 50 minutes
